I so love and respect nature for all she reveals too us if we are willing to look upon her as a teacher with great wisdom. In this fast paced world we live in today, we do miss much as we are caught up in our own busy lives.
Far to often we pass up taking the time to sit with a senior a listen. It is possible we look upon them as being too old to contribute anything as they are so far behind the times we live in. How wrong is our thinking really, after all has their knowledge and wisdom they gained meant nothing. Did their suffering not stand for anything and can it apply to us today.
Look at the picture above and allow yourself to view it as someone who has gone before. Lets pretend that stump is a senior sitting and showing us a better way of life. Look at the scars they display, they are plenty are they not. Their hardship has opened the door for this new world we live in. Their sacrifices have offered us the freedoms we take for granted.
Man has come and stolen from nature with little or no regard for her. Life has done much the same too people, we do much the same when we bypass the chance to spend time with our elderly. Even though nature has been robbed, she has blessed in many ways over the years. This tree may have been a part of a home built, hopefully filled with love. There is still hope of new life coming from the pain of the past. The picture says it all, even through all of the suffering there comes new growth, new life and it comes from the decay of growing older.
Take the time to sit with someone your senior today, after trust has been established listen to what is taught. Pay attention as there are some lessons in life that technology will never teach as they can.
